Wear-Dated Natural Nylon recreates the classic texture, luster and appearance of fine natural wool by combining the superior performance characteristics of Nylon 6,6 carpet fiber with a technology that permanently bonds the tufts together so they cannot be untwisted, which provides better resistance to matting, superior appearance retention and the classic texture, luster and look of natural wool. Wear-Dated Renew offers the superior performance for which Wear-Dated carpet fiber is known, but uses post-industrial (P.I.) fiber and polymer products created during the fiber manufacturing process, thereby removing these products from the waste system. Wear-Dated Renew Natural Nylon also combines post-industrial (P.I.) fiber and polymer products created during the manufacturing process with the Natural Nylon technology, binding the fibers together so they cannot be untwisted. (Although only finished carpet with a minimum of 25% Wear-Dated Renew Natural Nylon may carry the Renew brand, depending on the fiber used and how it’s combined with other fibers, carpet made with Wear-Dated Renew may have a minimum of 10% recycled content.)
